I enjoyed my stay at the Parasol Inn. The location was superb, with easy access to many temples and markets in the Old Town. While the service was generally good, I did encounter a lack of professionalism at the bar. The absence of an elevator was a bit of a hassle, but staff was helpful with my luggage. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a budget-friendly option while exploring Chiang Mai.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was decently sized and clean, equipped with air conditioning. However, my room had a bit of a humidity smell initially, which improved with the aircon. The walls were quite thin, making nighttime noisy due to outside sounds.
Service

Most of the staff were fantastic, especially the front desk ladies who were incredibly helpful. However, I did experience a frustrating moment at the terrace bar where the service was rushed and unaccommodating when I questioned a drink order.

I was disappointed by the lack of a lift in the building, which might be challenging for guests with heavy luggage. However, car hire and laundry services were available, which was a plus.

My stay at Parasol Inn in Chiang Mai was quite enjoyable because of its fantastic location right in the heart of Old Town. However, I did encounter a few challenges like the noise levels and some communication issues with breakfast. Overall, it was a lovely experience that provided great value for the price I paid.

However, I did face some noise issues due to the traffic outside and the WiFi was a bit frustrating at times. Overall, I would recommend it for its friendly staff and convenient spot near attractions.

The hotel's location couldn't be better—right in the center of the old city and next to great temples like Wat Chedi Luang. Plus, the Sunday walking street market is right outside the hotel, making it super convenient for food and shopping.

Though I didn't eat at the hotel restaurant as I preferred street food, I did hear the menu was varied. There was a café nearby that offered a good breakfast, and I was told the hotel would take over ownership for even better dining options in the future.

The hotel offers useful facilities like fast WiFi, complimentary coffee, and a safe in the room. However, I found the airport transfer service quite expensive compared to local transport options.

Overall, my stay at Parasol Inn Chiang Mai Old City Hotel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city and close to the Sunday Night Market, which I loved. However, the service left a lot to be desired, with some staff being rude and unhelpful. While the rooms were clean and spacious, there were a few shortcomings, especially in dining options that didn't quite meet my expectations.

Rooms
